LIPOSUCTION OF THE CHIN WITH SPECIALIST PLASTIC SURGEON
|REMOVE EXCESS FAT AND DROOPY SKIN WITH A DOUBLE CHIN REDUCTION |
Double Chin Reduction|
You don’t have to be old or overweight to lose the definition of your jawline — the elasticity underneath your chin. A double chin is often part of our natural or inherent ageing process, genetics or a response to weight fluctuation, and dieting alone won’t get rid of the excess skin.
Chin Liposuction is an ideal procedure for patients who are concerned with the appearance of their double chin.
Mostly performed under a local anaesthetic [to minimise risks and recovery time], a discreet incision is made with a cannula to remove the excess fat between the skin and the muscle through a gentle suction process. Patients may experience minor discomfort or minimal pain during the initial preparation to temporarily numb the jawline and chin, however, the local anaesthesia will quickly take into effect. The end-results will permanently refine the shape of jawline, leaving you with a more contoured and smoother chin (subject to further weight gain or loss).
DOWNTIME: 90-minute day surgery performed at our clinic. FOLLOW UP SESSIONS: Patients are asked to wear a compression bandage to support the chin over a three-week period (also while you sleep) to achieve optimum results.
RESULTS: The side-effects may include minor discomfort as well as minimal bruising, swelling and some numbness, however, all symptoms will begin disappear within seven- ten days of the procedure.
