Collagen-Producing Dermal Fillers |
No matter what we do, age will eventually cause our face to lose its elasticity and freshness.
Dermal fillers are popular non-surgical injectable gel treatment used to enhance and rejuvenate your look. Though there is no shortage of treatments, the issue is what dermal filler is right for you.
Radiesse is a popular filler used to treat facial lines around the mouth and eyes, jawline and hands but its calcium hydroxyapatite-base composition if different from the traditional hyaluronic acid based filler.
Radiesse lasts for approximately 12-18 months while the traditional filler lasts between six to nine months. Its application is also at a deeper level.
Radiesse uses calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based, gel-like solution, which over time stimulates collagen production and corrects fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and along the parentheses or marionette” lines from the corner of your mouth to your cheeks and nose.
In the same way, Radiesse also strengthens the skin’s elasticity as the calcium and the gel are absorbed in the face.
Are there any risks?
As a trained FRACS surgeon, Dr. Chang’s expertise minimises the advent of risks. Of the most common is that Radiesse does not have an enzyme which dissolves the filler and the thickness of the calcium hydroxyapatite is concentrated at the dermis layer.
DOWNTIME: Walk in and walk out the procedure that temporarily leaves slight swelling and bruising for three-five days. FOLLOW UP SESSIONS: To achieve a naturally refreshed look, it is recommended that you continue with the treatment every 15-18 months.
